Yarn

This shawl is designed with a sport-weight CYC 2 Fine yarn. The sample is knit in Brown Sheep Nature Spun Sport, a lovely 3-ply wool yarn in a wide range of vibrant colors.

Amounts listed below are approximate. Total yarn requirements will vary depending on the type of yarn used, gauge, and any alternations you may choose to make.

368 yds [335 m] each of three different colors

Needles

US 6 [4 mm] 32 in [80 cm] circular needles for working a large number of stitches

Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge.

US 7 [4.5 mm] double-pointed needle, or one size larger than main needle for I-Cord bind-off

Gauge

20 sts & 32 rows = 4 in [10 cm] in Stockinette stitch
