The Party Favor shawl is an experiment with brushed merino yarn. It’s paired with two sock yarns (one in the same color and a second contrast color). The two sock yarns are used for the striped Feather & Fan sections while the brushed merino is used to add texture and interest to the shawl with a second simple lace stitch pattern. The two sections are repeated for the length of the shawl.
Construction: The shawl is knit lengthwise from one short edge to the other, alternating between the two different classic Shetland lace patterns.

The two sock yarns are used to knit the striped Feather and Fan lace sections. The brushed merino uses another simple lace pattern and adds an interesting texture to the shawl.
